Tour OneSixTwo; A Luxury Accommodation with Coastal Contemporary Details

We’re checking in to OneSixTwo, a luxurious holiday property located just behind the sandy dunes of Tallow Beach in New South Wales. This contemporary accommodation has taken influences from its idyllic surroundings to create a space that boasts a warm minimalist style. Filled with natural light and organic textures, OneSixTwo is so much more than just a getaway. Come take a tour of this unique property and discover the elements that have us absolutely swooning.

OneSixTwo is comprised of two separate dwellings, The Lane and The House, which can also be combined to sleep 14 people. Both homes are similar, but each features unique elements that work toward the same goal of creating the feeling of staying in a boutique hotel, with the amenities of your own home.

OneSixTwo was curated with luxury family living and the location in mind. The designs are timeless and classic, with a beautiful balance of contemporary touches. It's the ultimate twist on coastal homes often found in the Northern New South Wales area.

Cohesion takes centre stage upon arrival at this gorgeous property. The home's mid-century style flat roof adds clean lines which are harmonised with the subtle curves found throughout both the exterior and interior. The flow is continued by garage doors which feature seamless cladding that wraps around the side of the house, leading guests to the front door. Once you make your way through the entry and into the large living space, it’s evident how connected the homes are with nature.

Large doors open up to invite the outdoors in, creating an incredible entertaining area. The backyard is filled with lush greenery, including a dividing wall complete with a garden pocket for privacy. An abundance of natural light streams through adding to the connection.

That’s the thing about OneSixTwo; it’s a contemporary home, but it completely immerses you in the outdoors. From the indoor-outdoor layout to the garden surroundings, the palette, and even the main ensuite featuring an outdoor bath, the home truly grounds through its interiors.

The neutral palette is a minimalist’s dream as perfectly illustrates just how much interest these tones can bring into a space, especially when blended with textures and natural materials. We love the use of timber, stone, and bricks throughout the space as they bring just the right amount of depth and warmth without taking away from the calming palette. As one of the most striking elements, it's no surprise that the bricks were the first material chosen for OneSixTwo. They echo the tones and textures of coastal elements, such as shells and sand, and were used to set the character for the rest of the home.

And the features don’t stop there. The homes are also equipped with amenities to enhance your stay, like ensuites in each bedroom, outdoor showers, heated pools, and a chef's kitchen with Miele appliances. Plus, a bar nook for those well-deserved holiday drinks.

Well, now that you’ve taken the tour of OneSixTwo, all that’s left is to discover what the perfect day here looks like. It starts off with a walk across the road to Tallows Beach, for a surf, of course, and then back to the house for some breakfast on the alfresco (don’t forget to pop down to the local caravan for some coffee). The rest of the day is then spent lounging by the pool, watching movies with the family, or entertaining. Dreamy, right?
