If you’re in the mood for a coastal getaway, we have the next best thing. Welcome to The Barberae; an idyllic holiday home located in Kiama, New South Wales. This luxury accommodation takes holidaying to the next level through its coastal organic interiors and incredible design. We love a coastal style home here at Style Sourcebook, but when you add high vaulted ceilings, polished concrete floors, and a breathtaking palette, then we’re in complete awe.

Upon entering the home, you feel instantly calm and relaxed. It may be down to that holiday feeling, but we’re sure the idyllic interiors play a huge part as well. High vaulted ceilings greet you in the main area of the home that shares an open floor plan complete with a kitchen, dining area, and lounge room, all big enough to host family and friends. The space is soaked in natural light, thanks to the abundance of large windows, sliding doors, and sheer curtains. The bright white palette does an excellent job of further allowing the sunlight to reflect around the room.
In addition to brilliant whites, the use of incredible neutral tones, light greys, and raw, natural materials gives The Barberae that organic depth it illustrates so well. It’s so important for these tones and hues to flow together when creating a space that has been designed for relaxation. Having interiors that invoke feelings of calm and serenity is an effortless way of creating that holiday mood.
But the purposeful palette and stunning interiors don’t just stop in the main living spaces. As you move throughout the house, each bedroom and bathroom brings a unique touch of luxury, meaning you won't even have to fight for the best room when staying at The Barberae. Our favourite element would have to be the skylight that fills the space with so much light and freshness.
The Barberae really is the dream holiday house. With six bedrooms, four ensuites, and a large backyard featuring a circular pool, it ticks all the boxes whether you’re bringing friends or family. Plus, we love that it’s perfect for every season, whether it be sunny lunches out on the deck or warming up by the fire in the lounge room. And with the home being in walking distance to beaches, restaurants, and shops, what more could you ask for?
