If you’ve ever been to Berry, New South Wales, then you’ll understand why it’s described as “the perfect country getaway”. This charming little village offers lush greenery, historical buildings, and a sense of serenity. And it was this vibe that captivated the talented duo from HAAUS., Alliera and Rebecca. They stumbled across a block of land and felt enchanted to create something unique, and so, HAAUS. 4 was envisioned. Described as traditional cottage meets modern luxe, HAAUS. 4 has combined the best parts of each style to create the awe-inspiring home it is today.
And not only are we lucky enough to explore HAAUS. 4, but we are also chatting with Alliera and Rebecca to learn more about their exciting collaboration with L3 Home, which has added an effortless touch to this gorgeous project.
When Alliera and Rebecca first came across the vacant block of land, they were instantly captivated by the views and the lush green surrounds. It was the perfect location to start their dream cottage build. But with the land being so steep, the project would require a bit more consideration than most. And where some might see an issue to overcome, HAAUS. saw the potential and opportunity to take their skills and imagination to new heights.

The objective of HAAUS. 4 was to capture the irresistible charm of Berry, while still creating a functional home that would cater to the modern-day family. Alliera and Rebecca set a goal of soaking up the traditional cottage atmosphere while adding their own twist. The result? A home filled with cosy, natural textures, hints of contemporary luxury, and a space that feels harmonised with its location. This combined approach lead HAAUS. to establish a one-of-a-kind home that respects Berry’s heritage while still showcasing the duo's unique flair they’re known for.
This flair is displayed throughout the home, reflecting Alliera and Rebecca’s talent and love for the project. From the curated pieces to the strategic design, all elements work in synergy to enhance the calmness that comes naturally to HAAUS. 4. A strong illustration of this is the palette. While the larger component features cool tones, almost echoing a blank canvas, the warmth within the décor and natural elements adds complete comfort to the space. And with this being said, the neutrals used throughout HAAUS. 4 are far from boring. The texture found with the grooves of the vanities, the porcelain tiles, and even the flooring, really take this home to the next level.
Plus, a special mention must also be made to the accent pieces that bring in those touches of luxury, like the brushed brass tapware and black window frames. We could go on all day about the details that make this project so enchanting.
It feels impossible to pick a favourite feature, but when we asked Alliera and Rebecca, we have to agree that the dining space is truly breathtaking. With views extending over the vast landscape, natural light flooding in from the picture windows, and elements of soft oak and nude colourings, it’s hard to look past this space.
