A NSW Farmhouse Mood Board Journey Where Country Calm Lingers

Style Sourcebook Profile: She is Liv

After previously touring the Corrie Residence by She Is Liv here at Style Sourcebook, we were completely swooned by a home that felt like the physical form of golden hour. Do you remember the curved staircase shimmering with crushed Mother of Pearl shells, or the sculptural kitchen island carved from natural stone? Nestled in Corlette along the shores of Port Stephens, it was a beautiful reminder of how thoughtful design, tactile finishes, and natural light can transform a home into a true sanctuary.

Now, She is Liv has done it again with a stunningly considered interior, and this time we have the full mood board to reality journey to share. Let’s step inside this modern farmhouse and delve into how Style Sourcebook mood boards and Project Studio helped with the thoughtful transformation.

Tucked away in the rolling countryside of Vacy in New South Wales, this charming farmhouse honours its past while gently guiding into a new era of living. With its weathered beams, original ceiling details dating back to the 1960s, and windows that frame the landscape like artwork, the home already tells a story. Now, through a carefully curated mood board project, that story is being reimagined with warmth, intention, and a refined sense of country living.

At the heart of the design is a commitment to preserving character. Timber mouldings and wainscoting weave throughout the home, grounding each space in traditional farmhouse detailing, while moments of exposed brick and retained ceiling features add a layer of authenticity that can’t be replicated. It’s this balance between raw and refined that defines the overall direction.

The palette leans into warm, earthy tones, anchored by Dulux favourites Lexicon® Quarter and Paris Creek, creating a soft, liveable base that allows textures and materials to take centre stage. As the flooring underfoot, EC Carpets’ Dawson Falls in Cascade introduces a subtle, tactile layer, while considered hardware selections like the Cambridge Knob from Iver add a timeless finishing touch across the home. Throughout, brushed nickel and stainless steel accents from ABI Interiors bring a quiet sense of cohesion, proving that even the smallest details play a role in shaping the overall feel.

Each space within the home has been thoughtfully resolved through the mood board process. In the main bathroom, moss green panelling sets a calming tone, paired with a marble-topped vanity and softened by the glow of black ball wall lights. A black-framed mirror anchors the space, creating a look that feels both grounded and elegant, as a refined nod to country living.

“I used Project Studio to share and present information to my client to review and approve.”

The ensuite takes things in a lighter, breezier direction. If the main bathroom is your cosy retreat, this one is your fresh, slow-start kind of space. Marble skirting and mosaic detailing catch the light most subtly, adding texture without overwhelming the room. The fluted timber vanity brings warmth and a sense of rhythm, keeping things interesting while still feeling calm and cohesive. It’s soft, airy, and luxurious!

Oh wow, the countryside feel in the living area makes you want to relax with a book in hand. A rich brown sofa invites you to sink in, while the fireplace, framed with mosaic brick (we’re obsessed!), becomes both a visual and emotional focal point. It’s a room designed for slow moments, layered conversations, and the kind of comfort that only a well-considered space can offer.

The laundry, fitted with ABI Interiors’ Kingsley range, carries through the same level of detail and cohesion seen throughout the home, reinforcing the idea that every space deserves thoughtful design.

Behind the scenes, Project Studio played a quiet but powerful role in bringing this home together. From the initial mood boards through to final selections, every detail was organised, refined, and presented in one cohesive space. It allowed She Is Liv to seamlessly share ideas, gather approvals, and keep the entire project flowing with ease. It’s the natural next step after creating a mood board, turning inspiration into a beautifully structured, client-ready presentation that brings the vision to life.
