Insight Body and Mind

Insight Body and Mind is one of the latest wellness hubs to open in Melbourne’s inner northwest. Founded by Dr. Elizabeth Terziovski, the boutique health studio takes a holistic approach to empowering clients through the combination of body and mind. When it came to creating the space, the brief was simple, Insight needed to reflect the integrated approach to health and wellbeing. Dr. Terziovski worked closely with award-winning design studio, Biasol, to create a sensory experience throughout. The results? Light filled spaces, sculpted curves, graphic stones, and peach tones. Each element strategically combines to create flow, warmth, and a fully immersive experience.

SOMA Collection

SOMA is the definition of a luxe workout. With over a decade of experience in commercial gyms, founders, Simon and Franco, had an idea of creating something completely unique. The vision was to establish a boutique, high-end environment that catered to Sydney’s professionals. It needed to be clean, sophisticated, and luxurious, yet still functional. With the help of UK graphic designers, Carousel, the inspiration was to incorporate interior trends from high-end projects in London. The vision was then brought to life by Giant Designs.

Upon entering SOMA, you’re immediately transported to a contemporary design dream. The space features rich, deep blues with gold accents and polished concrete; all softened by wood detailing. Each zone has been carefully designed to evoke the intended amount of motivation with warm, neutral tones in the Pilates studio and moody accents in the weights room. The bathrooms are filled with texture from raw finishes to subway tiles. If there was ever a contemporary space to motivate, it’s SOMA.

The space is complemented with curved furniture, crystal rocks, greenery, and Dina Broadhurst paintings for some essential interior touches. Once clients move through to their classes, each room features mood lighting and strategic fit outs that enhance the workout.

Ashley Faithfull Training Studio - Olderfleet

As Melbourne’s only five-star executive gym, AF Training Studios is revolutionising the fitness experience. Clients are completely spoilt with features ranging from a full-time concierge to garment steaming services while you train, sparkling water on tap and a yoga cave. We were lucky enough to chat with Interior Designer, Lisa from LA Faithfull Designs, about the space and its unique features. The project enabled Lisa to take her designs to a higher level, literally. Located in one of the most luxury high rise buildings on Collins St, AF Training Studios perfectly blends both old and new elements. Lisa paid homage to the heritage façade of the Olderfleet building through an industrial design with original copper work pipping. The copper features continue throughout the studio, creating a cohesive flow that is both aesthetic and motivating for clients. The newer elements can be experienced through the sleek, dark sophisticated journey of the space, with custom halo lighting and minimalist designs that encourages focus.
