Nestled in the renowned Byron Bay hinterland sits Galloway Park. The luxe country style home seamlessly blends both Australian and English country elements with raw details. The results? Impressive cathedral ceilings, sophisticated décor, and cohesive finishes. We were lucky enough to sit down with Studio Haus Co and chat about the gorgeous project. So, come with us as we discover the inspiration behind Galloway Park, the go-to suppliers and styling tips for elevating your space.

Can you tell us about Studio Haus Co and the projects you work on?

Studio Haus Co is a full-service interior design studio based in Byron Bay. We aim to create beautiful, functional spaces that feel true to our client’s vision. We work organically with our clients, depending on their individual needs – this may be design recommendations and plans review or it can be the full project scope from design through to sourcing and styling.

We are a family business, with a construction company and our interior design studio working side-by-side.

Galloway Park is such a beautiful project; can you tell us a little bit about it?

We were brought into this project at lock-up stage, so it was an empty shell. It’s an English style home so it had many dividing walls in the kitchen, dining, and lounge space, creating small and dark rooms. We started by opening up the spaces, so the home flowed better, and we could maximize the incredible hinterland views from all spaces. We removed false ceilings and a bedroom loft, creating incredible cathedral and vaulted ceilings throughout the main living and master bedroom – a major design feature of the home.

The owners are a young family who live abroad, and this is their Australian holiday home, so the space needed to work for their needs.

How would you describe the style of the project?

Considering the owner is from England it definitely has an English country house vibe, yet with a hint of Australian country thrown in. She was all about luxe country style, but wanted rustic elements as well, a surprising mix at times.

What was the inspiration behind the project?

The home came with somewhat of a style direction. It was our job to elevate and inject sophistication and luxury, whilst keeping it raw and rustic.

Do you have any favourite features?

The ceilings are a definite favourite feature, they are quite breath-taking! It also means beautiful natural light flows through the home. Our other favourite is the master ensuite – in the master bedroom we added a false wall between the bedhead to create a space for a freestanding bath, leading to the master ensuite. It’s such a beautiful space.

Who were the go-to suppliers Studio Haus Co used for Galloway Park?

We used some of our favourite suppliers on this project, including:
