The Art of Timeless Décor with Eadie Lifestyle

Style Sourcebook Profile: Eadie Lifestyle
Sometimes all it takes to bring a room together is décor. Pieces, such as cushions, vases, throws, and curtains, can bring so much life and warmth into a room, completely transforming the space. With such an emphasis placed on these pieces, it’s important to choose products that will serve both you and your room, beyond aesthetics.
We wanted to dive deeper into this topic, so, we’re sitting down with Eadie Lifestyle. As an Australian label, Eadie Lifestyle creates timeless and uniquely crafted products that consider the planet, their artisans, and your design projects. Come with us as we learn about Eadie’s passion for beautiful craftsmanship and even get some expert tips on how you can style their pieces within your own projects.
At Eadie Lifestyle, they tend to stay away from trends and instead focus on crafting pieces that are enduring. Their inspiration comes from different cultures, locations, and eras, but their collections remain timeless. This philosophy can also be an ideal approach when it comes to incorporating pieces within your own space. Choosing décor pieces that inspire you means they serve a purpose beyond aesthetics, meaning not only will your space look good, but it’ll feel good as well.
For example, take Eadie’s recent collections. Their AW24 Freya Collection celebrates a Danish way of living called ‘Hygee’, which translates to finding comfort, pleasure, and beauty in simple, yet elegant objects and rituals. Their mid-season collection ‘Wabi’ draws inspiration from the Japanese art of appreciating simplicity and embracing imperfections.
These two collections are not only crafted with natural materials in beautiful tones and textures but also embody ideal lifestyle habits and mindsets. Plus, only releasing two collections a year means Eadie Lifestyle can really invest in its unique practices and support communities across the globe.
This concept is such an important part of creating a space that serves you, but how do you also ensure your décor pieces serve your space? There’s such an art to bringing a room together with décor but at Eadie, they don’t believe in making too many rules around how you style your space, the key is to ensure you create a space that is unique to you. “We believe you can never have enough cushions (obviously), but the art is in layering them and experimenting. Start with larger cushions at the back and as you move forward play around with many shapes, sizes, and a mix of choices. Use a block colour, a highly texturised piece, and a pattern, this is the key to creating a look with plenty of depth,” notes Founder & Creative Director, Trudie Cox.
With this advice in mind, we sat down with Style Sourcebook interior design professionals to understand how they use Eadie Lifestyle within their projects.
