Located in the lush hinterland of the Sunshine Coast sits Mon Residence, a former restaurant transformed into a stunning accommodation with the most serene interiors which started as a mood board on Style Sourcebook. Designed by Blanco Interiors, Mon Residence offers three distinct boutique studio spaces, each thoughtfully detailed to create a sense of tranquility and comfort. MON RESIDENCE created by Blanco Interiors on Style Sourcebook.

Mon Residence is nestled in amongst the leafy green landscape in the charming town of Montville with scenic views leading out to the sea. So, when it came time to renovate the pre-existing dwelling, Blanco Interiors knew immediately that the project had to pay tribute to the surrounding landscapes.

The vision was for each space to feel organic and in touch with nature, which would be strategically carried out through the materials, palettes, and shapes within the home. Like many incredible projects, the vision for Mon Residence began as a mood board on Style Sourcebook. Featuring inspiration for the entire space, the mood board boasts incredible textures, earthy tones, and stand-out elements, such as the suspended fireplace.

It’s always so inspiring to see the vision, like Mon Residence, really come to life and we think Blanco Interiors completely nailed it.

The space is tranquil, yet bursting with interest and personality. Trying to achieve a balance between both of these concepts can often prove tricky, but Mon Residence is a true testament to how it’s done. The neutral palette of beige, warm whites, and sand tones, and the natural materials, such as travertine and stone, work to connect the studios with nature, while injecting depth into each area.

Take the bathroom, for example. The space has a luxurious spa-like atmosphere that feels immediately relaxing, but it also feels bold and exciting. The texture of the mountain stone basins is completely organic and unique, giving it a striking appearance. The travertine tiles feel harmonious, even with the variation of tones within each piece.

The curves found throughout the studios are also a perfect example of how to connect your interiors with nature. The organic shape works to soften each space, flowing throughout the home. We love how you can follow the curves, from the arched windows and mirrors to the freestanding bath, fittings, furniture, and even the splashback. Speaking of the splashback, we can’t go past this unique wave design that allowed Blanco Interiors to incorporate a little fun into the project. It’s another key illustration of how interest can be added to completely enhance and connect a project.

Mon Residence is the perfect place to unwind, and the interiors play a huge role in this. The location already sets the tone for tranquility, but by opting for interiors that complement the surroundings, Blanco Interiors has created an atmosphere that encourages relaxation, emphasied by warm and inviting details.

We’re so impressed with every detail within Mon Residence, from the aesthetic mood boards to the strategic features and organic elements of each studio. It truly is a reflection of Blanco Interiors' goal of creating timeless, and unique spaces with incredible attention to detail.
