General
Project Studio is a free and centralised tool, allowing you to intuitively create client presentations and specification schedules, as well as communicate your design details with clients.
Client Concepts will be phasing out in the near future. If you would like to use your Client Concepts mood boards in your Project Studio projects, please change the status of these to ‘published’.
Project Studio is completely free to use.
Project Dashboard
Creating a new client project is easy, simply head to your Project Dashboard (the homepage of Project Studio), and click the ‘Create New Client Project’ button. Now you are ready to start your project webpage.
The demo project is a sample project created by our in-house team, designed to provide you with an example of what your project could look like and to give you inspiration of what elements (e.g. vision board, scope of works, 3D renders etc.) your project webpage could include.
The demo project is available in 'preview only' mode and can’t be copied. However, you can copy a previous project of yours to use as a base for your next project.
Curating Project Webpage
You can add a customised banner for every project via the ‘Add Banner’ button. Moreover, your profile image is pulled from your Style Sourcebook profile. If you’d like to change this, please do so via your profile or by clicking on your logo in your project webpage.
Click on the ‘Add Room’ button and then click on the edit button to edit the text.
Each content block has its own subheading, which is intended to be customised to reflect the content within it, such as mood board, scope of works etc. You can edit the text after adding a content block by clicking on the edit button next to the text. You also have the ability to hide or delete specific sections.
The type of content you can add is completely up to you, depending on the project you are working on. The main content to include are mood boards and schedules, however you could also include a project brief and descriptions, scope of works, floorplans, 3D renders, construction drawings and anything else that you think would support bringing the project to life.
Specification Schedules
Specification schedules are dynamically generated from your Style Sourcebook mood boards, all from one-click. No longer do you need to manually enter product information each time; this information is automatically pulled in from your mood board.
To generate a specification schedule, you’ll need to add in a mood board via the ‘mood board & schedule’ content block. If you haven’t previously created a mood board, you can do so via the ‘create a mood board button’ in this tab.
Use the trade price section of the price column to depict your trade price (including trade discounts etc). Please note that trade pricing is only viewable by the designer and won’t be shown in the client view.
If you need to add an item that is not on the mood board to the specification schedule, you can click ‘Add New Item’ to enter product details and save it to your product library for future use.
If you’d like to add in a completely blank schedule for when you need to specify items that aren’t typically found on a mood board, such as electrical or plumbing fittings, you can do so by adding a blank schedule, found in the ‘mood board & schedule’ content block.
Editing Mood Boards
We know that you may need to make changes to your mood board based upon client revisions.
To reflect your client’s updates, this can be easily done by clicking the ‘Edit’ icon in the top right corner of your mood board in Project Studio. This takes you directly to the Style Sourcebook mood board tool, where you can make changes and swap products on your mood board as needed. Be sure to save your edits; any new products added will appear in your specification schedule on Project Studio. However, if you delete items from your mood board, you’ll need to manually remove them from the specification schedule.
Project Communication
You can export all specification schedules into a portrait PDF document.
When clients receive their project webpage link, they can update statuses of content blocks to let you know which sections and products are approved, declined or in-review. They can also leave comments on these content blocks, which you can respond to, creating a conversation on specific elements of the project. You'll receive notifications of all these updates, including comments and status changes, through the notification tab in the top right-hand corner.
Daily project recap is an email sent from Style Sourcebook at 8am each morning, outlining a summary of any project activity from the previous day.
Preview, Publish & Share
To preview the project webpage exactly as your client would see it, click the ‘Preview’ button on the top right-hand corner and the preview page will open. We strongly recommend reviewing your project webpage before sending it to your client, to ensure it displays exactly how you wish.
Firstly, click the ‘Publish’ button under the ‘Publish & Share’ button on the top right hand side of your Project Studio project. Then, email the project link to your client. Type in the subject line, body text and client email address, and then click send. If you make changes to your project webpage, be sure to re-publish and let your client know to refresh the link.
Whilst we recommend sending the project link via the in-built email sender, we understand that this might not be for everyone. You can alternatively send the project link by first publishing the project, then clicking the ‘copy’ project link button, and pasting it into your email thread with your client, or wherever your correspondence is.
