Frey

The word ‘Frey’ was derived from Norse mythology, the god associated with prosperity and dispenser of pleasure. It is also a play on the word Freight, stretching back to the days when people would travel far and wide to source homewares and treasures only available from a particular place, such as delicate porcelain from China, handblown glass from Italy, and opulent textiles from Turkey. Frey celebrates the art of craftsmanship, and pays homage to the rich stories that exist behind every object. It was this respect to artistry, and her love for beautiful objects, that inspired Isabella Patterson to establish a collection of bespoke items sourced from all around the globe. Trendiness is not the objective for Frey – it is the history and quality craftsmanship behind each item that makes Frey a curator of material narratives.
